Thanks for that Lew. I will be taking delivery of a new set of panels shortly for my A3’s. When I strip them down I will be investigating methods of stiffening up the frames that I have with steel and also adding a heavy damper to the top of the speakers. I have been inspired to consider this after reading an article about the listening room and equipment of Mr. Alastair Robertson-Aikman the founder of SME, the company that manufactures turntables. He has 4 Quad ESL-63 speakers that have been seriously modified and stiffened. One of the additions are 100lb steel dampers to the top of the speakers. Fortunately I have concrete floors!
