I have the latest backplates with the exception of the impedance mod which I ordered last week. My impression is that I'm getting the same effect with the Zeros as I will get with the impedance mod. That would be to increase the impedance to make the load easier to drive. I wouldn't think there would be anything to gain by running Zeros in conjunction with the impedance mod. Please let me know if I'm missing something. These M-2's have it all with the exception of the impedance mod. I verified that last week with Soundlab. Mine have African Zebra wood trim. Connie indicates that only two pairs of SL's have ever been made with this particular trim. She remembered them even without the serial numbers as I ordered the impedance mod kit before the speakers arrived. She verified that these M-2's are fully up to date with everything currently available from SL with the exception of the impedance mod which is on the way. Things are improving. I'm just wondering if I'm going to need to try some other amps. My wife is the biggest Atmasphere fan in the world. She recently told me that if I sell the Atmasphere's she's divorcing me. I seriously doubt that there is another wife on the planet that feels the same way about Atmasphere as she does. I've told Ralph that he needs to hire her as a national marketing director.
