Some people believe that you need to have them unplugged for 24H to completely discharge. Although Brian mentioned it that you can vacuum the speakers without unplugging them due to the fact that the panels have a negative charge on them. I have done the vacuum thing both unplugged and plugged and honestly I cannot tell the difference. The speakers take only a few minutes to charge to a reasonable level (read to play music). It takes about 24 or more hours for them to charge to their final state (read, to sound their best) Do not fret over this stuff to much! Having your heatpump on, makes more change in your sound than the 2 vs 24 hour charge time :-).
