Although circuit topology is of primary importance I always thought that without obsesive attention to parts quality and interaction one could not achieve the best possible sound for a given design. I did not get the impression that these amplifiers were designed with that philosophy.
Mr Lau, the designer of the ASl Hurricane informs he he has not tried it with SLs. He believes it could work well given no negative feedback, although output in the bass may be diminished. He believes it will be stable into the difficult loads of the SL. So the Hurricane may be a good candidate for biamping.
