My past experience with CROWN has also been what I would call : HARD SOUND...Almost Disco...Chilling power,but not much sweetness,and at the same time upper end dull...But the ~ CROWN ~ I heard at Sound Lab was all good...And I loved his choice of demo music :..Electronic Pipes...
And I never will never forget... It was the first time I'd ever heard a single speaker produce a true 28Hz...Awesome.
I think it is fair to say that CROWN produces some 50 models of amplifier. And it is reasonable to assume they all have signature sounds...
CROWN was also selling Hybrid ESL speakers in the 70's...
