Absent the fabulouse home-made resistors that you have crafted, Vishay does make non-
inductive versons of wirewound resistors rate as high as 375W. However, they all have in
common the use of steel leads. Like you, I don't like the idea of steel in the audio pathway,
assuming one considers this component to perform as if it were "in" the signal path and not
just parallel to it. Don't know why Vishay doesn't use copper, though. Wonder whether the
steel leads could be bypassed with copper ones. Since you have some of the ("non-
noninductive" versions) on hand, can you tell us whether substituting copper leads for the
steel leads is practical, upon close examination?
