Very nice response....What I'm hearing you say : You have a very conscious sense of your speakers in your room and how they highly interact as a Total System..
And all you Room Treatments sound right on to me...
And most people would be very lucky to have a un-equalized room curve as flat as you have !
I would like to know more specifics about your Test Program, and Microphone used? The bulk of my experience has been with B&K 36 Band...Real-time...... I am looking?
I especially enjoyed the Rosewood Chair Idea...My first impression was [I don't know about chair] But then I plugged in my WATER TEST
I just imagine... If the room was Full of Water and the Speakers became a Wave Machine...And then my imagination plays a video of what would happen to the back ESL BASS Waves as a water wave passing through that chair...And yes, the chair would shrewd the Energy Wave and reduce it's energy...even change it's direction...
If Fichus why Knot Rose Chair...
Controlled Reflection... More or Less...May have a lot to do with the way we want to listen to our music...And the way we were taught to listen to music...
At least once, I would like to hear a Sound Lab ESL in a Anechoic Chamber...Just for a Snapshot Reference Start Point !
I have heard 3 Way Lab Equalized Cone / Box Speaker System in a very non reflective room...Very pure... And you still hear the box..
I became very much aware of Studio Problems,Microphone flaws & loses, recorded noise,And General Noise Threshold...
MAY BE... WE STILL NEED ROOM AMBIANCE TO COVER UP TECHNICAL TAG ALONG...???
I know every time I get better speakers ,I have a hard time finding recorded product to make the speakers sound good...
It is almost as through the Room-Ambiance-Level is like a FOCUS CONTROL...Just how sharp do you want your Sound Picture???
