Thanks Brian. I think you have answered most of my questions on the bass response. I, unfortunately, have never actually heard the SL's. I currently own the Avantgarde Duo speakers with wavelenght ammps. While the sound is quite good it is not the last word, at least does not sound quite like I want it to. I do live in the Midwest but do not know when I will be in the Chicago area. Thank You for the offer though. Anyone out there from Minnesota or Western Wisconsin with SL's. Thanks again.
