Thank for the descriptive circuit. Until such time that this fully matures an easy stop gap measure would be to wire in a high quality single pole changeover switch. One way would be RUN, effectively leaving the bias pot wired normally. The other way IDLE would switch in a resistor of suitable value in series with the bias pot.
