Acoustate was able to produce ONE THIRD of that drive voltage by using 4 output tubes Cascode-Parallel ...with a supply voltage of 5Kv DC.

The sound was excellent but the Acoustat amplifier was subject to thermal drift...Many are still in operation 40 years later.....
