What I found to be the most interesting was that Acoustat worked the 6BH5s tubes outside of their maximum voltage limitations and got away with it!
Evidently Acoustat knew something about tube arc over that allowed them to work out side printed tube specifications...
And, once a good set of [4] 6HB5's were in place in the Acoustat Amplifiers, they seem to have played for decades....With out problems...
The Acoustat amps did have other problems: thermal drift,control noise and IC Chip failure..
Once in a while an Acoustat Speaker/Servo Amplifier set comes up on e-bay,and if they do, they sells for a good price, quickly...Like Janzen and Sound Lab...Acoustat is loved for their unique pure sound...
