125 ft? The speed of sound is 1100 ft/S, thus we're looking at 11 ft wavelength for 100 Hz. If your point about wavelength vs. room size holds, then it would be impossible to reproduce anything much below that frequency in a large van in the instance of car stereo. The wavelength of a 20 Hz tone is about 55 ft.
