I agree that the cloth is very attractive, but it cannot be a "good" thing to place additional fabric between onesself and one's Sound Labs. Granted, it may not make much difference, but we are concerned with the little differences, aren't we? If you love the silk, have you considered removing the Spandex and using only the silk between you and the panel? A friend of mine has done just that with his Acoustats. The silk he bought is actually more acoustically and visually transparent than the stock Acoustat cloth, which ain't Spandex.
