Amp clipping with : due to low current or low rail voltage ?

As you have noted I am in the learning curve here.
Willing to improve the medium/high freq sound purity (no clipping or harsh) should I go for a more current or more voltage amp ?
I understood that clipping is "squaring" of round waves; if it is right the assumption that it is due to a power amp pushed too far, wouldn't then be solvable with just a more current amp ?(therefore not necessarely more watts, just more amperes)

How does the above question fit with the high voltage rail that anybody suggest ? Is the voltage rail just connected to high SPL instead of clipping ?
Would appreciate if somebody can clean-up above meditations.
