Kenny I do not have a bi-wire version. The backplates I am using are early U-1 backplates (i.e. they have the toroidal xformer installed).

I actually don't need to change both backplates - I thought that I'd send both so that they could make the latest upgrades to both and have a reference good one to compare the other bad one against.

I'm not sure what the resistance readins are that you are getting as I don't know what the circuit layout is for the backplates, but I'm GUESSING that the bass circuit has a capacitor in series with the circuit somewhere which would give you an open circuit reading.

I spoke to SoundLab's technician, Brett, last night and he was very pleasant and helpful guy so I'd recommend giving them a call.
