When the record pressing plants wanted to make the very best Cut Vinal Master for Plating and Stamping...They would drop the Analog Tape Master Speed to half..[7 & !/2 IPS] ..
And also Drop the Cutting Lathe speed to half speed....The end result was 30khz could be put on records ,because with everything moving at half speed the equipment only had to pass 15Khz....

What I am doing is something of an extension of that process in reverse to reclaim master recordings long lost....

Some of the most astounding reclaims come from old 78's ,because they didn't know how to compensate for record head inductance and velocity resistance.
And when that equalization is added in to the mix, many of the older 78's sound amazingly like modern records.....
