If one could get them set up, and the first impression a significant other had was the music, I don't think WAF would be a problem. I had electrostatic headphones for years (Stax, Fontek, Jeclin Floats), and had always wanted some full range electostats, but I lived on a boat and then in Alaska. Neither location was very optimal for SLs. Hence, the sudden jump from bookshelf speakers to SLs.
