When the Brilliance Pot is in the maxium on position ....The center pin should be closest to the full-clockwise "On" pin....In that position the control should send the maxium level audio signal to the Hi-Section of the ESL crossover....
Unfortunately the Brilliances controls may have some small resistance even in the maxium level position. So this is the reason many choose to : [ Jump the two terminals together ] Or bypass the control altogether....
There is so much power passing through the crossover at this circuit point ...even a little resistance loss seems to make a hearable difference...
The third remaining Brilliance Pot connection is usually connected to ground and doesn't seem to have much effect.....If lifted or not...?
