I really don’t want to get into one of your round the houses discussions that don’t stay on topic.
For your information I have used various test CD’s with pink noise in the past but the traces of all of them are, to all intent an purpose (perhaps an error of a fraction of a dB), identical to my computer one and that is far more convenient to use.
I use a microphone supplied for this purpose and it is used with the calibration compensation data that was supplied with it.
Don’t forget that my data is taken in-room and the basic response you see should be considered with that in mind. The change you see in the data is reliable though and it demonstrates the effect that a small amount of resistance has. We don’t want to start worrying about fractions of a dB when moving your head 6” can have a greater effect.

Now, why don’t YOU produce some data or pass on information that will take this thread FORWARD.
