The new cores employing, among other things, more stator wires, are being used in current production speakers. They should be available in the future as an upgrade, but the time frame is not yet established as they are working on getting things up to speed while the current production is being done manually and hence is labor intensive. The improvement is on the order of several dB - for example, imagine a pair of A-1s driven by M-60's to loud levels - which should enable a broader range of amplifiers to drive them. But I wouldn't look to drive them with a pair of 300B's any time soon, though. When the time comes and Sound Lab is able to accept speakers for updates, I'm sure they will formally announce availability. Until then, all are asked not to contact Sound Lab as they are keeping quite busy. Everyone's patience is appreciated. All of that said, you'll like the improvements.
