That must be a fantastic circuit.
Basically I disagree with you. I see "good" OPT as a device that should not reduce the bandwidth of the in-going signal, which is an impossibility due to losses. But I have seen OPT that can do 10Hz to 50 kHz well without NFB in a 200 watt tube amp. I also consider OPT as a neccesary evil. OTL as good as they are, has their own set of problems.
NFB is too often used as a cure. I admire designs that prevents rather than cure.
I do agree with you that some OPT can't take NFB at all due to oscillation, but that is another cattle of fish.
