I've listened to the pipes four or five times. I wanted to love 'em, because I want to offer an alternative to my customers who like the Sound Labs but want enormous macrodynamics. I like the presentation of a line source loudspeaker.
Each time I listened to the pipes, I've heard a "cupped hands" coloration going on in the midrange. Maybe it stands out because the pipes do so many other things well. I dunno. But it's too distracting to me, and so my search for a highly dynamic alternative to the Sound Labs continues.
