If you vacuum without releasing the charge on the diaphragm, you may not be able to remove
any dust. With the electrostatic attraction, the dust is pretty firmly adherent. In fact I often
wonder whether vacuuming thru the Spandex does much good at all, even with the speakers fully
discharged, because the distance between the vacuum nozzle and the mylar is of necessity
always at least a few inches.
