I'm going to do what I should have done in the first post and refer everyone to the Audio Asylum postings where I originally got the idea. The link just below is to a posting by Mark Gdovin on how to use superballs and heavy mass to isolate just about anything from ground-born vibration. Please read his secondary posts to the thread as well- they're very informative.

The link at the bottom is for a thread started by Barry Diament who reports excellent results by decoupling his speakers from the floor. If you give it a look, I think you'll agree that it's an idea worth trying or at least discussing.
