Diament, in that he too recommends against "mushy" feet that contain sorbothane, etc, which I
think/thought includes Vibrapods. Ball bearings would seem to be a bad idea, because they
would allow the speakers to move pretty freely in the plane parallel to the floor, as he
acknowledges, and thus dissipate amplifier energy and clarity. But he tried it, and I did not, so I
am in no position to argue against it. This may be one of those audio trade-offs, where there is
some virtue in either approach, and the optimal solution is individually dependent upon one's
own speakers, room, flooring, etc. Go for it, and let us know the results.
