Is this in the context of the 8-ohm/36-uF hi-pass filter that works with the modified mixer box
(see Roy's recent posts above)? Are you using a 1mH or 1.5mH value, a la Roy and Kevin? With
this set-up there is little or no dip between 160 and 250Hz. I would posit that the presence or
absence or the degree of "the dip" would be related to the value of the inductor in conjunction
with the values of the components (R and C) that form the hi-pass filter, rather than the brand or
method of construction of the inductor itself, although the design and manufacture of the
inductor chosen could and does affect other sonic qualities.
