Years ago, I read that certain beautiful-looking Jadis amps would occasionally burst into flames. This made more sense to me after my wife, who majored in French, explained that "Jadis" is actually French for "formerly." Aha!

BTW, the Sound Lab Pristines were full-range electrostats, not hybrid designs.
