I fnished my diy sallies made out of Auralex venus wedge foam. Built a physical clone of the sallie.Excellent results: Improved soundstage and depth. The added absorbance allowed me to remove some of the other sound dampening I had on the walls. No decrease in bass response, in fact it's tightened up a bit.

If anyone is interested, I ended up using just one box of the Auralex panels (burgundy color) and have the second for sale. There are two panels, each 4'x2'x12". $50 plus about $25 shipping. I can email a picture if you are interested
