Lew,
I don't live in a power station but I live beside a field with MANY power lines. Most people are unable to use their cell phones in my house.
My system really suffers because of this. I've used various methods to clean out all the grunge that this causes and have had some success. I've never managed, however, to get my system to properly 'energize' my room (I can play my system loud enough to break my windows, but this is something completely different). The sound never seems to radiate out past the front plane of my Sound Labs. I have a 'wallpaper' type of sound. I've tried LOTS of different equipment and LOTS of different speaker positons and listening positions. My crappy 20 year-old dynamic speakers can energize my room but my A-1s can't. I asked about EMI because I want to try and account for every possibility before I make the decision to sell the speakers.
Dave
