I get the subjective impression that the mixer upgrade (and getting rid of the factory "hi-
impedance" upgrade that requires an extra inductor in the hi-pass filter) have resulted in a
significant improvement in efficiency of my M1s. I can now play music quite loudly, too loudly
for others in my family, in our 15X22X9-foot living room with my Atma-sphere MA240s, which
are comparable to an MA1 in power output (albeit there may be an extra benefit from the MA2
power transformers used on the MA240 monoblocks). There is absolutely no sense of strain or
break-up on loud transients. Then too, the M1s are likely a bit more efficient per se than are
A3s.
