Stereophile’s bias is showing. In the original M/L Prodigy review, comparisons were made to Quad and in the issue that started this thread, the Quad 989 review mentions (your guessed it) M/L, but as in the 100 hot products, no mention of Soundlab was found.

Oh well, Stereophile’s “sheeepeople” who dine at the “Recommended Component” table, not deviating from the ratings found therein, won’t know what their missing, leaving more for those of us that have found a little bit of sonic nirvana…….
