This graph is a miked frequency response that was taken in my listening room, if it had been recorded in an anechoic chamber then it would have been smoother. Yes, it does look hashey but that is the real response that includes any reflections that the mic may have picked up in my room. Different software programs will present the data differently and will average the data more making for a smoother looking response. You also need to consider that the response is of the speaker driven by my MA1 amps, both play a part in the curves you see in the picture. The amps roll off a bit at the treble end.
The top pair of curves show the response of the Toroid and Base transformers separately, the bottom curve shows the response of both of the transformers combined. These speakers were also manufactured in 1994, the current line up have changed a lot since then.
If you can see through the peeks and the troughs of the curve at the bottom the response is pretty flat.
Sound Lab speakers are very good indeed. Highly recomended.
