Another way to "Help" your effor to drive the speakers is to Bi-Amp. I have done this on my U-1's, and a friends M-1's with great results. He too "Cooked" his backplates when his amps clipped. The sound is very good, and with good quality amps very very good. Try a decent tube amp up top and your Innersound on the bottom end.
