Thanks for the informative post. Could you possibly post the written instructions in Tweaks area of SLOG? It would save other people possible grief,including myself.
I have heat treated my U1's in past but started w/ the wrong gun, OOPS two holes. No big deal,Roger sent me some adhesive backed Mylar to patch them and Brett then put me straight w/ the correct Sears Heat Gun they use at the factory, worked like a charm after that.
