Sandy, you might want to repost your question on the Atma-Sphere Owners' Group site. I've heard Roy's A3s driven by MA-1s. I don't know of anyone active in these forums with the M-1/MA-1 combination, although Brian Walsh lists his system as comprising U-1s with MA-1s. I've heard a rumor that SoundLab is going to be demonstrating with MA-2 amps at next January's CES/T.H.E. show. You might need that much power to get realistic sound pressure.
Wire recommendations are highly individual. I would not make a wire decision based on anyone else's recommendation unless I had heard their equipment and could calibrate their taste through personal experience.
