SL A-3 and Quad ESL question

Hi -- I've been looking very seriously of entering the world of
electrostatics with a Quad ESL-988 or 989 (my main system is built
around Harbeth monitors) but I keep hearing and reading great things
about soundlabs. The A-1 is out of my range, but I've seen A-3s and
others come up.

Does anyone here have experience with both speaker lines and these
models? Care to comment?
