Yes the hole is big enough, 33 x 18. Hopefully I won’t need the silicone, Roger’s intructions were on how to use it if I had not used the sleeve. I agree about putting silicone inside the sleeve but as it was tricky getting it up between the spacer strip, I think I will leave well alone whilst I am ahead. I have had an idea about how to fix larger pieces of self adhesive Mylar patches behind the wires. I will try my idea out on my repair and if it is successful then I will post a few pictures for everyone to see the method.
