All this technical discussion is interesting, but simply plugging in a couple of after market power cords and listening for yourself is an easy way to determine whether the change is positive in your own system.

Worst case is you spend some time listening to music that might have otherwise been used for computer or TV. Best case you find that I am right and you gain a valuable improvement for your Soundlab, enhancing every music session for the rest of your life.
