Agree Terry, but there are parts that are inherently better quality either by design or material that are too expensive to be included as original equipment. My earlier analogy of NOS tubes is an example. Tube equipment manufacturers choose new Russian tubes which are clearly inferior because adding the cost (with markup and warranty) of NOS tubes make their product too expensive.
I understand your support for Soundlab, including their parts choices and methods of voicing. If what they produced was not remarkable there would not be a SLOG of dedicated followers.
