With the next to most recent Soundlab back plates ( pre-inductor), the best position for my Wolcotts damping is: toggle switch up position, rotary dial about ten O'clock
The toggle switch selected in the up effects upper frequencies, selected to the down position effects bass frequencies.
The rotary knob ads and subtracts feedback applied to speaker and wire combined. The Wolcott feedback circuit is patented and does not operate like any other amp ever made.
Consider Wolcott for it's performance and value and arrive at the proper setting by experimenting with my start point. If that works, you are in quick. If not, it explains why we have the option to make it best for our own situation. A nice problem to have.
