My A3’s are on carpet. The 5 Aluminum points only penetrated part of it and the speaker just wobbled about. I drilled them out from behind and taped the thread straight through. I made up a set of spikes and put small flats on them so adjustment can be made with a small spanner. You could easily buy these though.
