speaker. Most folks, myself included, observe that the imaging is best with at least some
attenuation of the rear radiation. Ditto the "overwhelming" bass response; you need something
very dense to absorb and/or diffuse low frequencies radiating from the rear of the panel. As I
have mentioned many times before, I use some antique solid rosewood chairs, one behind each
speaker, plus I built sound-absorbent panels to partially cover the rear walls to take care of mid-
and upper frequencies.
