Mike, look very closely with a bright light at the plastic around the binding posts. The + and - can be hard to see but they should be there. They will be the same color (black) as the plastic as they are engraved and not painted. You may have to look a few inches beyond the posts (to the sides perhaps) to find them. I'm not currently at the same location as my M-1s or I would check for you. Try looking once more with a bright light. I myself have to look carefully every time because the + and - are indeed difficult to see. If you still can't locate the signs feel free to email me back and I'll check for you.
