One thing I noticed while playing with the ZERO autotransformers was the comb effect at my listening position: while running a 1 kHz test tone, I moved the Radio Shack SPL meter slowly forward and backward. The level went up and down a couple of dBs every few inches as the meter microphone moved through the peaks and valleys created by interference of the sound waves from the tweeters and midrange panels.

Sound Labs mimic a line source, and with good room treatment will beat Maggies for stability of the image. What I found with the ZEROs was a closer approach to electrostatic performance for detail retrieval.

I, too, would like to hear the Wolcott amps on Maggies.
