Are you saying that one speaker bias is set to 12 o'clock and has no problems, while the other
speaker bias is set to 3 o'clock and has (or had) a periodic clicking noise? Did you set bias in
each speaker by the factory recommended method of turning it up slowly until you heard
"crinkles" and then setting it back a bit until crinkles or hiss went away? Do you perceive that
both speakers operate with similar efficiency, despite the big difference in the bias voltage
settings? Your responses to all of the above would be useful, because I always wondered
whether the clock position of the bias pots on L vs R speakers or any two speakers is really a
good determinant of the level of bias voltage being applied.

Nevertheless, I would pull the plug on the offending speaker, wait 24 hours, vacuum it thru the
Spandex, set the bias back all the way counter-clockwise, plug it back in, then slowly bring the
bias up to where the position of the bias pot is similar to your normally functioning speaker. As
someone else said, the problem could well be due to a speck of dust, etc, that is caught between
stator and diaphragm, and with luck it will burn up (or has burned up already, since you say the
problem stopped).
