Zuki -

You commented that you didn't like the Sound Lab room (with Wolcott amps) at the 2002 CES. Neither did I!

That was the absolute worst I've ever heard the Sound Labs. But, the Wolcotts weren't the culprit. Three things were going on:

On the first day of the show, the Sound Labs had backplates that had a problem. Those were replaced on the second day.

Now it takes a good five days for a pair of Sound Labs to really charge up and come to life, so that pair never was fully charged up.

But most significant of all, the second-floor room they were in was a structural disaster - you could put your hand on the walls and feel them vibrating! The bass in that room was unbearably muddy and overwhelming. I hoped none of my would-be customers managed to find the room, it was so bad.

By the way, I also liked the Atma-Sphere room with the Classic Audio Reproductions speakers.

I told Sound Lab to make sure they get a ground floor room next year!

I live with Sound Labs and Wolcotts/Warner Imaging/Atma-Sphere/Clayton/InnerSound or whatever, and I can assure you that what you heard in the Sound Lab room at CES 2002 was in no way representative of what the Sound Lab/Wolcott combination normally sounds like.
