Have not tried an AR-VT100 with my Soundlab M1’s, but did so with Martin Logan reQuests, which I owned prior to the M1’s. The VT-100MkII sounded great, but was slightly under powered for my listening tastes. I would think this effect would be compounded with the M1’s, as I assume they’re a more difficult load than the hybrid reQuests.
My M1’s were just purchased approximately 4-months ago. Like yours, I opted for the dual backpane option and have bi-wired with Harmonic Tech. Cables. Although a service issue was encountered, Connie and Dr. West took care of it with aplomb. They are great folks, I’m sure they will do more than likewise with you. The M1’s are awesome, too bad I didn’t take the plunge earlier – you should love them – happy listening!
