Well since nobody jumped in. I just converted my A1s to biamping. Even though the membrane of the A1 is driven full range it has separae transformers for the low and high freq range. The high voltage signal on the secondaries of the transformers is them mixed to drive the panel full range. Having the two transformers driven by separate amps has the advantage of avoiding the difficult load in the midrange.
