Having owned both U2s and now M1s, and having listened in the same room to both speakers, I
can say that the only significant difference in "imaging" is that there is a larger and broader
image with the M1s, but the sense of instrument size and of depth of the hall, etc, is not notably
different between the two. Also, the enhanced more effortless mid-bass reproduction of the M1s
may contribute to a better sense of the recoding venue. Depends on what one means by the term
"image", I guess. Anyone care to comment on my doubts that the change in shape of the M1
could possibly yield a 6-db improvement in efficiency (outside of an anechoic chamber)?
