(1) As I'd guessed above, one would get a higher estimate of the difference in efficiency between
the two panel shapes in an anechoic chamber, because there are no reflective surfaces to recruit
sound energy radiating at angles to the listening position.
(2) Just because of their much greater surface area, one would expect the Majestics to be more
efficient anyway, regardless of the change in shape of the panel.
(3) 6 db is a huge jump! Think of the difference between driving an 86-db/W/m speaker
compared to a 92-db/W/m speaker.

I'll probably have to buy a pair some day in order to get a chance to hear the difference, unless
Harry gets a pair of 45-degree M1s at his house.
